New skeet/5-stand info added below for 2023

Blue Valley Sportsman Club’s Trap League will start the week of May 10th , with week 10

ending on July 20th 2023 . The week of July 26th will be used for make up. The end of league shoot

will be on July 29th . League shooting will be on either Wednesday or Thursday evenings with

make up available on Sundays. If you haven’t already received a team registration packet,

the documents are available below. Packets are due by May 3, 2023. The week of July 4th will

be a bye week.

Team fees are $725 total, plus $20 for each team member that is not a BVSC member.

We plan to have the trap range open for practice starting April 23rd , sooner if the weather

permits. Prices for practice rounds have gone up this year due to the cost of clay birds going

up with our shipment last year. Individual rounds are $7 for members and $8 for non-

members. Punch cards are available for $60 for 11 rounds for members and $70 for 11 rounds

for non-members. Punch cards you have in your possession can still be used.

Shooting will begin Thursday, July 27 2023 and will end Thursday, Sept. 28  2023 with and an End of Season shoot on Sept. 30.2023, Shooting will occur on Thursdays and Sundays with the hope that league shooting is finished by October.

Instead of 20 rounds of skeet shooting we will be shooting 10 rounds of skeet and 10 rounds of 5-Stand. We will have at least 1 skeet field open along with the 5-stand every time we open up for league.  We will shoot 250 birds of 5-stand and 250 birds of skeet for a 500 birds total.

Cost will be $130.00 per shooter and teams will be expected to help with  set-up and take down, scoring, etc. We will award three top gun prizes: one for overall (skeet and 5-stand), one for skeet, and one for 5-stand. But one shooter cannot win all three.  

New rule modification for 2023:  If you hit a proof double on skeet and get both birds with one shot, you have one more try to get the two shots. If you get another double, we will score it as a hit.  We are trying to not waste shells and birds.
